At different stages of life, everyone experiences different inner journeys. Ever since I was young, I’ve always had a unique personality. Even during the lowest points of my rebellious phases, I held firmly to my own thoughts and style. My parents gave me a lot of space and freedom, which allowed me to explore the world boldly without limitations and to follow what I truly love. I’ve always been drawn to things that people my age might not typically be interested in. For example, I was exposed to hip-hop culture as early as elementary school—not just the music, but also the evolution of its style and aesthetics. I began cultivating an artistic sense, paying close attention to different designers and a variety of fashion pieces. Gradually, through this constant exposure, I found my own direction through drawing. I also have my own brand called Rickyinthehouse. The concept of “Ricky in the house” comes from my habit of working in my room—playing music while creating different works at.

Leather has always carried a mysterious allure for me—it's more than just a material; it feels like a symbol that bridges the human world with something otherworldly. I've long been fascinated by science fiction creatures, especially ones like the Xenomorph from Alien, with their strange and powerful exoskeletons. These designs inspire a sense of strength, otherness, and transformation. This fascination naturally led me to draw connections between these alien forms and the armor-like qualities of football gear—such as shoulder pads and protective padding—which extend beyond the natural shape of the body. In my fashion work, I aim to recreate that sensation of body extension and protection, using leather to construct garments that feel both futuristic and defensive. The piece is a fusion of sci-fi fantasy and real-world functionality, blurring the lines between clothing, armor, and creature. I want the wearer to feel as though they are stepping into a new identity—one that is empowered.
