Minni Tuovinen

University of Brighton

Minni Tuovinen is a fashion designer and recent graduate from the University of Brighton whose practice explores resilience, material innovation, and contemporary womenswear. Drawing inspiration from industrial environments, utilitarian workwear, and biomechanical forms, her work combines sculptural silhouettes with experimental textile development, transforming reclaimed and deadstock materials into tactile, handcrafted surfaces. Through the fusion of traditional craft techniques and unconventional materials, she creates garments that challenge conventional ideas of strength, femininity, and protection. Her practice is driven by a commitment to sustainability, material experimentation, and the belief that clothing can embody both function and quiet resilience.
