Hi, my name is Dorela Costolas, I am from Romania, 19 years old, and I am studying Fashion Design in Paris. I want to create designs that inspire people to be more who they are, as this is what fashion has done to me. I also love to tell stories through my designs and merge them with more alternative fashion influences, as subcultures are a big part of my inspiration.

This project was inspired by the durability of leather and how it is a main staple piece in alternative subcultures, due to this characteristic. It is used in almost all the subcultures, such as punk, emos, metallers, and nu goths, but the regular goths do not opt for such an item as they usually draw their inspiration from the victorian era clothing. With this in mind I choose to do a leather jacket inspired by victorian silhouettes and motifs. Materials used for this garment will be: main - cattle hide leather, lining - silk, embellishments - stainless steel.
