I want to combine traditional methods and materials with emerging manufacturing technologies. My mission is to create sustainable, fashion-forward, and luxury products, while maintaining transparency about our processes and their impact and how that affect everything around us. SOL SON 0 is a concept dedicated to creating footwear and products that transcend traditional boundaries.
SOL SON 0 takes elements of the past and future to create functional beauty. It draws from the inherent strengths of each material and process. The leather is pulled and stretched into form, its wrinkles revealing natural resilience and durability, something that can only be achieved with leather. The outsole wraps around the upper while leaving a void beneath the heel—something only possible through 3D printing. These two worlds—traditional leathercraft and advanced additive manufacturing—merge into a design that is genderless and free from predefined function. All components are assembled without glue, making the shoe modular and repairable to reduce waste. This final aspect is still evolving and will continue to be refined.
