Redefining the structure and vocabulary of the traditional oil-paper umbrella, this approach employs precise joining strategies that enable the oiled paper to simultaneously perform waterproofing and light-transmitting functions, forming an integrated system in which structure and material mutually support one another. Through radial segmentation and layered light and shadow, it reinterprets the imagery of Eastern craftsmanship into a contemporary design language. The umbrella thus transcends its role as a purely functional object, becoming a mobile vessel that carries culture, time, and sensory experience.
