Hi, I'm Louis! Nice to meet you!

YESTERDAY I WAS FREAKING DOPE FIGHTING AGAINST CAPITALISM

Category: Apparel

Competitions: Taiwan Region

When I stepped into the real world, I began to develop a deep aversion to capitalism. I tried to resist, only to find myself battered and bruised from countless collisions. It wasn’t until later that I realised those feelings of anger and rebellion might have been nothing more than an instinctive reaction of youth. This struggle mirrors the essence of Kaohsiung—a city shaped by heavy industry and commercial interests, where beneath the concrete and steel lies the cries and adaptations of generations. This port city was once full of defiance and wild energy, yet under the weight of reality, it continues to be reshaped. Through the concept of “distortion,” I want this collection to embody a spirit of resistance, as if engaging in a dialogue with my past self. Just like the streets of Kaohsiung, where shadows of the old era are constantly stretched and twisted, yet stubbornly survive, searching for their own path.
