This couture collection explores the significance of romance on society throughout time, never staying still, transforming from whispered devotion to performative affection and hidden passion, to the fleeting digital touch of now. The Odyssey weaves through my concept as a story of enduring struggle and loss; a journey defined by distance, loss and the relentless search for what once was. One of the inspirations I took from the odyssey was the bird-like sirens as a trial of seduction. Furthermore, I draw on my personal parallels between Homers’ anonymity and my own instinct to hide behind creation, allowing distance to become armour against vulnerability. Wax seals, once keepers of private desires, return here as a symbol of protection, becoming inspiration for textural emblems of self-preservation. Each piece unfolds through exaggerated silhouettes and fluid drape, with fabrication inspired by the textures of decay and preservation, capturing love’s fragility, it’s loss, and the quiet beauty that endures. submitting the leather moulded corset styles with chiffon drape.
