This project was developed with the intention of combining fashion, sustainability, and cultural memory through contemporary design. It is inspired by the Mbya Guarani people, specifically their traditional practices of orchid gathering and the intricate braided techniques found in their basketry. These cultural elements are reinterpreted into a modern accessory, honoring ancestral craftsmanship and Indigenous knowledge. By combining cow leather with upcycled denim, the project reflects innovation and environmental consciousness while preserving and celebrating the symbolic traditions, identity, and heritage of the Mbya Guarani culture.
