Arid Threshold/涸境

Category: Apparel

Competitions: Taiwan Region

The earth cracks in the drought; every fissure is a mark of nature’s descent into ruin. “Arid Threshold” is rooted in sustainability, drawing inspiration from the apocalyptic imagery of a parched land — cracked soil, weathered leather, torn fabric — each a scar left by the climate crisis upon the body. The deliberate tears and imperfections preserved throughout the collection echo the irreversible wounds inflicted on natural resources through overconsumption. Burnt earth brown is the last colors of a land stripped of water. The use of natural leather transforms each garment into a response to the environment rather than an act of taking from it. Destruction is honesty; imperfection is a warning — Arid Threshold is not merely an aesthetic, but a question posed to the future of our planet.
