Working at a Fashion company

The Textile Loft

I am a multidisciplinary fashion designer dedicated to telling African stories through sustainable design and cultural expression. Drawing inspiration from my Agikuyu heritage and the diverse traditions of the continent, my work blends structure and softness, merging architectural silhouettes with fluid forms to create pieces that are bold, thoughtful, and deeply rooted in identity. With a background in both fashion and marketing, I approach design with an entrepreneurial lens, always seeking to bridge creativity with impact. My collections often explore themes of heritage, sustainability, and innovation, using fashion as a medium for dialogue and transformation.

Botanical Armour

Category: Apparel

Competitions: Africa

This structured leather coat dress blends bold femininity with botanical elegance. Crafted in black embossed leather, the silhouette is sharply tailored, evoking power and sophistication. A standout red silk organza rose blooms dramatically at the lapel ,a nod to classic haute couture, labeled the "Valentino Poise." Running diagonally from the rose is a thin green leather strap, representing a vine or stem, which wraps around the body and is delicately fastened by miniature leather loops along the side and back, adding an avant-garde, sculptural quality. The gold buttons add a final touch of refined opulence.
