Jiaxin Wei

Jiangxi Institute of Fashion Technology

Name: Wei Jiaxin Place of Origin: Nanchong City, Sichuan Province Affiliation: Jiangxi Institute of Fashion Technology Wei Jiaxin comes from Nanchong, Sichuan. She pursued her undergraduate degree in Fashion and Apparel Design at Jiangxi Institute of Fashion Technology. During her college years, she never confined herself merely to textbook learning. While finishing all professional courses, she actively sought practical opportunities to hone her skills. She gradually mastered fashion illustration and garment pattern making, and has long devoted herself to researching the design application of genuine leather fabrics. She strived to learn the complete workflow covering sketching, pattern drafting, material selection and finished garment production. She regularly took part in fashion design competitions during her studies. She favors leather materials in her creations and enjoys experimenting with distinctive trendy silhouettes made of leather. Instead of chasing exaggerated, eye-catching concepts blindly, she balances aesthetic appeal and wearability in her designs to ensure her works are viable for mass production. She always adheres to original design and rarely copies ready-made styles online. In her spare time, she spends plenty of time researching new leather crafting techniques and innovative patterns. After enrolling in the project-focused training class, she accumulated hands-on experience through various design projects and gradually improved her weaknesses in pattern drafting, fabric reconstruction and collection design. Whether taking part in campus competitions or engaging in daily practical tasks, she steadily polishes her professional skills, accumulates design concepts and practical experience step by step, and consistently elevates herself in the field of leather fashion design

Crimson Ink Tailoring

Category: Apparel

Competitions: China Mainland

This four-look leather collection Crimson Ink Tailoring takes black cowhide as the core medium, paired with striking scarlet red to interpret the aesthetic contrast of "ink black" and "crimson red". The design merges oversized avant-garde tailoring with restrained oriental subtlety, balancing tough leather texture and soft draped red fabric. All silhouettes adopt loose structural cuts, sculpting a powerful, unisex silhouette through thick full-grain cowhide, while scarlet accents break the monotony of black leather and echo the series name’s "crimson" motif. The whole set abandons overly flashy decorative elements, focusing on the natural grain and three-dimensional draping of cowhide, delivering wearable avant-garde leather fashion with both artistic expression and practicality.
