I am Shayan Moazzam Ali, a Master's student in Design (M.Des.) at the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad, with a specialization in textile and product design. I completed my Bachelor's degree in Textile Design from NIFT Mumbai, where I developed a strong foundation in textile materials, surface design, weaving, and product development. Alongside my academic journey, I have gained one year of industry experience, which has helped me understand the practical aspects of design, manufacturing, and market-driven product development. My primary interest lies in home furnishings, textile innovation, and surface design. I enjoy exploring the relationship between materials, craftsmanship, and contemporary lifestyles to create products that are both functional and visually engaging. I believe that good design is achieved by balancing aesthetics, usability, sustainability, and cultural relevance.
