HUANG CHIHYUN

Shih Chien University

I am a creative and detail-oriented individual with a strong passion for design and visual aesthetics. I am currently a student, actively developing my skills in fashion design, styling, and creative expression. I enjoy exploring different materials, silhouettes, and concepts, and I often incorporate unique elements such as asymmetry, textures, and color combinations into my work. I am particularly interested in creating designs that balance both functionality and artistic expression. Through my academic projects, I have gained experience in visual presentation, concept development, and teamwork. I am able to turn abstract ideas into concrete designs, and I always strive to refine my work to achieve a high level of quality. I am adaptable, responsible, and open to new ideas and feedback. I believe that creativity grows through continuous learning and experimentation. In the future, I hope to further develop my design perspective and contribute to innovative and meaningful projects in the fashion or creative industry.

Regenerative Scars The wound is where life returns. Design concept This work, titled “Regenerative Scars, ” explores the process of healing and renewal in nature after damage has occurred. When the environment is disrupted, cracks and scars become irreversible traces—yet they also mark the beginning of new life. Through irregular leather patchwork and intentionally exposed fractures, the design reflects the state of natural damage. Visible hand-stitching is used to symbolize repair, transforming “scars” into a deliberate design language. Soft materials and extending elements emerge from these openings, suggesting life growing through the cracks and creating a contrast between rigidity and softness. This piece emphasizes that sustainability is not only about preventing damage, but about how value can be redefined after destruction. Scars no longer signify an end, but an ongoing process of regeneration—revealing the enduring strength of nature within imperfection.
