Jakub Podgorski

Kuba Podgorski is a fashion designer intrigued by human mechanisms in relation to garments. Coming from a fully industrial city polish city, Szczecin, over the years of study in Rotterdam, Neth- erlands, he started seeing appeal in functional beauty over free beauty. Just as botanists appre- ciate fl owers for their mechanisms, Kuba Podgorski wants to raise awareness of the properties of garments that are often neglected. My graduation project puts perspective on how offi ce attire is neglecting human interaction with the garment. I believe offi ce wear has space for improvement and I feel frustrated that it becomes more relaxed and replaced with everyday clothes. Further in my career I would like to address other aspects of formal dressing and continue with exploring body relations to ways of dressing.
