AGE SPOT FLOWERS: HOA ĐỒI MỒI

Category: Accessories

Competitions: Vietnam

This design stems from profound memories of my grandmother. During my creative journey, I found myself reflecting on the texture of her skin in her later years and the poignant sensation of touching her hands during her final days. These emotions compelled me to create a piece that serves as a vessel for my longing and a tribute to our connection. Designed for practicality and versatility, this piece is crafted to accompany the wearer in most daily situations. This functional approach is an intentional metaphor: just as the bag stays with you, the memories and presence of my grandmother remain a constant, enduring companion in everyday life.

MADAME

Category: Apparel

Competitions: Vietnam

Madame is deeply inspired by the historical figure Madame Nguyen Thi Binh - a female diplomat with a calm demeanor and strength admired by the Vietnamese press and the world. She is likened to a "dancing steel rose among wolves" - because when looking at her, one can feel two completely opposing sensations. A very strong, powerful feeling but at the same time very gentle and graceful due to her unique style of dressing. She chose the áo dài, sometimes paired with a trench coat, sometimes with a silk scarf wrapped around her neck, or sunglasses. All of this created an incredibly luxurious and powerful overall look, but not harsh, not flaunting strength. Madame was made from leather with a touch of menswear style combined with the image of the traditional Ao Dai to recreate the blend of strength and gentleness of Madame Nguyen Thi Binh. The project (Madame) not only aims to honor a prominent figure but also wants to remind us of a peace that is incredibly precious and "expensive."
