This collection is inspired by maladaptive perfectionism—a condition in which individuals become trapped in a cycle of fear of failure, self-dissatisfaction, and obsessive rumination. Rooted in contemporary society, where social media often projects a one-sided illusion of perfection, the standards of living are continuously elevated to an unattainable level. This pressure manifests in both psychological and physical states, including chest tightness, shortness of breath, and chronic exhaustion. Influenced by Patric Hubert’s perspective that “to be human is to be imperfect,” the work embraces rawness, roughness, and silence as essential languages for expressing humanity. These elements create a space for introspection, allowing individuals to exist with themselves free from judgment. Rather than merely reflecting emotional wounds, this work questions the constructed ideals of perfection. It redefines imperfection not as a flaw, but as a trace of existence and lived experience. Through silence, raw textures, and incomplete forms, the collection invites viewers to pause their comparisons, return to their own breath, and rediscover beauty in honest self-acceptance—ultimately fostering a sense of self-worth that does not rely on external validation.
