Modern Cowboy Leather Jacket

Category: Apparel

Competitions: International

The "Modern Cowboy Leather Jacket" is a unique fusion of timeless cowboy attire and the sophisticated, eclectic interior design of 1970s Los Angeles, inspired by the narrative of Daisy Jones & The Six. Crafted from high-quality, sustainably sourced cattle hide leather—a natural by-product of the dairy and meat industries—this jacket captures the essence of the American West while incorporating contemporary design elements for a stylish and modern appeal. The relaxed fit with dropped shoulders and a slightly tailored waist, combined with intricate decorative stitching, ensures both comfort and sophistication. Sustainability is at the heart of this design. The cattle hide leather is treated with eco-friendly, vegetable-based dyes, and the jacket features a luxurious lining made from organic cotton. A natural string closure replaces traditional artificial fastenings, and only natural materials are used throughout the design, eliminating the need for synthetic parts. These choices not only reduce environmental impact but also enhance the jacket's durability and timeless appeal. This project champions sustainability, durability, and style, creating a standout piece that embodies both tradition and innovation in the fight against fast fashion.
