I am an undergraduate student in Industrial Design at Hongik University, class of 2022. My design practice centers on leather as both a functional material and a medium for expression. I have worked extensively with leather through self-initiated projects, producing bags and accessories that explore structure, surface, and making processes. Rather than treating leather as a neutral material, I am interested in revealing its inherent characteristics and the marks that emerge through life and use. By combining craftsmanship with conceptual exploration, I aim to design accessories that challenge conventional perceptions of value and encourage a more reflective relationship between users, objects, and materials. I plan to continue working with leather across diverse scales and contexts in the future.
