In the traditional VietNam home, the Cửa Bức Bàn acts as the "face" of the house—a sacred threshold between the inner sanctum and the outside world, designed to invite vital energy and regulate the flow of light.Using hand-carving techniques on tanned leather, I sought to recreate the intricate motifs of the Four Noble Plants : " Pine , Chrysanthemum, Bamboo, and Apricot Blossom". Additionally, I employed leather-cutting and patchwork techniques to create delicate apertures, mimicking the ethereal way light filters through the cracks of these ancient doors. This project is more than an effort to preserve and promote Vietnamese folk architecture; it is my way of weaving a cultural narrative into the language of contemporary fashion. It is a space where traditional values are held within the folds of history, yet reborn through modern intuition and a personal creative lens.
