Kevin Rambeloson

I've worked as a freelance visual artist and graphic designer for individuals and startups for about 6 years now. This can range from simple logo design to illustrations, graphic design, or art direction. I've also organised my own art exhibits using the skills I learned from my advertising and communication bachelor's.  I've heard about the real leather competition through a friend who graduated from an Italian fashion school, and they thought I could come up with an interesting design.  Being obsessed with all kinds of visual arts, I've always been fascinated by the world of fashion and clothing design. My specialty as an illustrator is character design, and I often take inspiration from fashion designers for the outfits and trends I portray. My all-time favourites are Thierry Mugler, Rick Owens, Iris Van Harpen, Yohji Yamamoto, Dilara Findikoglu, Vivienne Westwood, and Jean-Paul Gaultier. Despite managing to be accepted to several design schools in France through interviews and my portfolio, I've never been able to leave my country due to the high entrance fees. I'm fully aware that not having a fashion student background might hinder my chances of being considered in this contest, but it was a fun exercise that will surely enrich my skill set for future projects or collaborations.
