我的作品《我与我》是一款可翻转两用的手提包——闭合时是一只结构利落的手提包，打开翻转后即刻变成一件可穿着的马甲，回应大赛“多功能、耐用、真我表达”的核心理念。 包身外部采用黑色亮面光滑牛皮，呈现冷静克制的“外在我”；内部为彩色哑光双层面料，当包体完全翻转、马甲形态呈现时，明亮的色彩与柔软的质感便成为主角，象征被包裹在内心深处的“内在我”。两种状态共享同一套裁片与五金——木质圆环与大尺寸拉链作为转换结构的关键节点，保证了形态切换的顺畅与耐用。 工艺上，边缘处以色线滚边并辅以手工感明显的棉线针脚缝合，既增加层次，也保留手作的温度。最特别的是，在内层面料上我用刺绣写下英文日记短句——那些不轻易对外人说的情绪与自语，被一针一线藏进衣服里。只有翻转穿着时，它们才会若隐若现地显露出来。 这件作品试图用一件物品承载两种人格：向外是沉默而有力的黑色皮革，向内是柔软、多彩且真实的自己。皮革在这里不仅是面料，更是一层可翻转的“第二层皮肤”。 Design Statement My work Me and Myself is a reversible two-in-one handbag that functions as a structured tote when closed and transforms into a wearable vest when flipped inside out – responding to the competition's core values of multifunctionality, durability, and authentic self‑expression. The exterior is made of black shiny smooth cowhide leather, representing the restrained “outer self.” The inner layer features a colorful matte double‑faced fabric. When the bag is fully reversed and takes the form of a vest, the bright, soft colors become the protagonist – symbolizing the “inner self” that is usually hidden deep inside. Both states share the same pattern pieces and hardware: wooden rings and a large zipper serve as the key structural nodes, ensuring smooth transformation and lasting durability. At the edges, visible messy cotton thread stitches in contrasting colors are used for seam hemming, adding layered texture and a handcrafted warmth. Most distinctively, I embroidered short diary sentences in English on the inner fabric – emotions and self‑dialogues not easily spoken to others, stitched into the garment thread by thread. They only become partially visible when the vest is worn inside out. This piece attempts to carry two personas within one object: an outwardly silent, powerful black leather presence, and an inwardly soft, colorful, and truthful self. Leather here is not merely a fabric, but a reversible “second skin.”
