I am a graduating Fashion Textiles designer specialising in leather craft and accessories. Drawing on my background in knitwear, my practice celebrates heritage craftsmanship, combining traditional techniques with contemporary design to preserve and reimagine these enduring skills for a modern audience.

Between Shield and Skin

Category: Accessories

Competitions: International

Between Shield and Skin explores the tension between vulnerability and protection through the integration of knitwear, leatherwork and mixed media techniques. Combining hand-crafted leather constructions, woven surfaces, knitted structures and beaded detailing; the project investigates how contrasting materials can create both softness and strength within fashion design. Layering, interlacing and repetition are used to build tactile surfaces that wrap and protect the body while maintaining fluidity and movement. Through experimental making processes and material manipulation, the collection transforms functional craft techniques into contemporary garments and accessories that balance structure, texture and wearability.
