Centered on the theme “Life is finite, death is eternal,” this work is developed through the transformation of key ideas such as fantasy, rebellion, disorder, and reconstruction. The strap is constructed with intertwined linear elements wrapping around cotton-linen fabric, evoking the image of skeletal remains and the lingering presence of the soul after death. The central twisted fixation of the leather body, radiating outward, symbolizes the marks left behind by one’s desperate attempt to grasp onto life out of fear of its inevitable passing. The overall design employs a dual-color scheme: black represents the physical body and outer shell, while silver signifies the inner self and the soul. This piece reflects on the human tendency to constantly fear the loss of life, while rarely considering that death itself may be the ultimate form of permanence and continuity.
