Cobweb Veins in Rock Crevices

Category: Apparel

Competitions: China Mainland

Inspired by the weathered Yardang landforms and fragmented wild cobwebs in the northwest wilderness, this collection interprets natural imperfection through genuine calf leather. Eroded by millennia of wind and sand, rocky surfaces possess layered peeling structures and porous rugged textures, featuring a natural matte base with subtle partial luster. Such dual-texture characteristics establish the series’ desolate yet powerful wasteland aesthetic and guide the overall silhouette’s layered three-dimensional construction. Delicate fractured cobwebs lingering in barren rock crevices form irregular hollow lines. The soft, slender web textures generate a strong visual contrast with the heavy, rigid stone terrain, creating a unique tension between firmness and tenderness that defines the collection’s styling rhythm. Transforming natural landscape language into wearable fashion language, the design adopts calf leather as the core material. The stratified rock textures are converted into deconstructed cutting and three-dimensional stacked structures, while broken cobweb veins are abstracted into hollow-out and wrapped decorative details. The visual hierarchy is shaped through the contrast between matte leather and partial wax-gloss leather finish. With earthy ochre brown as the main tone and cool gray-blue as auxiliary color, the series presents an original imperfect beauty of nature, echoing the competition theme Leather, True Self by showcasing unpolished, authentic personal expression.
