Shih Chien University

I am currently a student in the Department of Fashion Design and Merchandising at Shih Chien University, Kaohsiung Campus, with a strong interest in material exploration and contemporary garment construction. My work often focuses on the relationship between structure, texture, and the human body, incorporating experimental techniques such as knitting and linear materials to create unique visual expressions. I was honored to receive the “Best Market Potential Award” at the Eclat Textile Fashion Design Competition, where my design was recognized for its balance between creativity and commercial viability. This experience strengthened my ability to translate conceptual ideas into market-oriented products. I am particularly interested in developing designs that combine artistic expression with practical function, aiming to create garments that are both visually compelling and wearable. In the future, I hope to continue exploring innovative materials and expand my design language within the fashion industry.

Modular Leather Tiles

Category: Accessories

Competitions: Taiwan Region

• Customizable Tile Arrangement The decorative tile pieces on the bag are attached to the woven leather grid with snap fasteners, allowing each tile to be freely removed and rearranged. Users can move and recombine the tiles according to their mood, date, or outfit, creating different visual compositions and adding a sense of interaction and personal expression. • Multifunctional Carrying Style The bag is designed with both practicality and flexibility in mind. It can be used as a handbag or worn as a shoulder bag, making it suitable for different occasions while balancing functionality and aesthetic design. • Sustainability and Eco-friendly Design The tile decorations are made from leftover leather materials from the production process. The patterns are laser engraved and then hand-painted to recreate the tile designs, giving new value to otherwise discarded materials. Through material reuse and modular design, the bag reduces waste and promotes sustainable design principles.
