“SHIFT”: A Multifunctional Leather Jacket

"SHIFT" is a unisex, multifunctional leather jacket design inspired by Felix of Stray Kids because of his duality of softness and strength, his fluid style, and his fearless individuality. This design is rooted in themes of transformation, sustainability, and cultural fusion reflected in the Adinkra symbols on the back panel. Designed for adaptability, the jacket features fully detachable sleeves using hidden zippers and eco-friendly snap fasteners, transitioning effortlessly from a full-sleeve jacket to a sleeveless vest, and even a cropped gilet. Drawing inspiration from the rich textures of natural leather and traditional African craftsmanship, SHIFT balances innovation and heritage. It celebrates the durability and beauty of leather while integrating principles of circular fashion, prioritizing ease of recycling, multi-functionality, and timeless design. Natural materials such as vegetable-tanned leather, organic cotton lining, and biodegradable metal trims are used to ensure minimal environmental impact.
