I’m Sana Mahmood, a passionate and detail-oriented leather designer currently pursuing my degree at the Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI), Hyderabad. The Boho Luxe Leather Bag is a statement accessory that harmoniously merges the free-spirited ethos of bohemian living with the timeless elegance of luxury craftsmanship. Drawing inspiration from desert nomads, vintage wanderers, and artisanal traditions, the design is a celebration of cultural richness, movement, and earth-bound sophistication. This crescent-shaped bag features a gently slouched, soft structure—offering tactile comfort and casual elegance. It is crafted from chrome-free, vegetable-tanned cowhide leather, ensuring a lower environmental footprint and a natural aging process that enhances the bag's beauty over time. Layers of suede fringe add dynamic movement, while a twisted suede rope handle, hand-braided trim, and a green stone clasp lend it a grounded, artisanal luxury. Every element of this bag reflects slow fashion values. The leather is ethically sourced as a by-product of the meat industry, supporting circular material use rather than waste.
