I have 25 years experience in leather products, repairing, mending, designing and producing. I am trading as Steplite handmade shoes the company that has been in existence since 2009, fully registered under the constitution of malawi.

DISABLED LEATHER FOOTWEAR

PROJECT BACKGROUND I am an artisan having been in the field of footwear designing, mending, repairing and producing for close to 25 years. During my time I have been seen a lot of need people (disabled) more especially those with moving difficulties due to leg height and foot problems. I conducted my own research to see if I can come up with a solution. Since 2006 I have been adjusting and mending footwear for disabled people until 2021 that's when I decided to start designing and producing these type of products. Being an artisan, I started developing the footwear that can help to adjust the short leg or bent foot so that when ever a person is moving he or she must not have problems. The height will depend on the measurement of the leg height or the foot. This type of footwear has shown to be sustainable , problem solving, cheap and effective to the needy whom has been neglected for so long.
