SAGA

Category: Apparel

Competitions: International

The SAGA fashion concept, developed by a passionate person, centers on: Myanmar Attire: Showcasing the beauty of Myanmar's traditional attire, the concept highlights the zero-waste skirt pattern, symbolizing the nation's rich cultural heritage. Sustainable Leather: Emphasising ethical fashion, responsibly sourced and eco-friendly leather is used to minimize environmental impact. Recycled Textiles and Upcycled Fabrics: By repurposing existing materials, waste is reduced, contributing to a more sustainable fashion ecosystem. Minimal Waste Philosophy: The idea adheres to a minimal waste approach, ensuring efficient use of materials. Daw Aung San Suu Kyi's leadership style served as inspiration for this philosophy. Symbolising Hope and Resilience: Each design represents the strength and unwavering determination of Myanmar's people, combining traditional elements with contemporary aesthetics. The SAGA - Resilient Elegance fashion haute couture design plan captures the spirit of Myanmar's cultural history and the long-term goals that Daw Aung San Suu Kyi represents. By supporting the use of sustainable leather, recycled textiles, and remade fabrics, this idea hopes to bring about change in the fashion industry. Through our designs, we pay respect to the famous leader while calling for a more environmentally and socially responsible approach to fashion. The SAGA collection is a great example of how fashion can be used to bring about good change and promote sustainable practices, even when things are hard.
