YU-CHING LIN

Tainan University of Technology

I'm a shy person. Although I'm quite reserved and give off a somewhat aloof vibe, once you get to know me, you'll find that I actually enjoy interacting with people and making them happy during conversations. My interests include handicrafts, drawing, learning different languages, watching movies, and listening to music. My specialties are planning, drawing, and handicrafts. Because I've loved drawing since I was little, I studied design in high school, which greatly improved my drawing skills. Although I didn't continue studying design in college, I still love it now. As for handicrafts, I was influenced by my family. From a young age, my family liked to make small projects for my sister and me, allowing us to use our creativity to create our own unique pieces. Because of this, my handicraft skills have become increasingly impressive. When I encounter problems, I can use my imagination to solve them. Even if they aren't as perfect as I imagined, at least I've found a solution.

Simple, Yet Exceptional

This hat is designed around the concept of “minimalism,” aiming to highlight simplicity while still allowing for personal expression. The overall color palette features denim tones and light shades, and the silhouette is an extension of the classic everyday baseball cap. Since most common baseball caps tend to have a single color or limited variation in design, this project seeks to create a more distinctive and personalized style. In terms of details, a metal ring is added to the brim, allowing users to attach their favorite accessories. The visor also features interchangeable metal fasteners, enabling customization not only of the cap itself but also of its finer elements, such as pins or buttons. At the back, there is an adjustable strap for comfort and fit, while the lower right side incorporates a unique ribbon detail with a magnetic design, giving users the flexibility to modify and style it according to their preferences. Overall, this design aims to present a seemingly simple baseball cap that actually offers a wide range of styling possibilities, allowing users to express their individuality in everyday outfits.
