Friyana Quraishi
Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD)
My name is Friyana Quraishi, also known as Friyoshii. I earned my B.F.A in Fashion design from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), with double minors in Fibers and Fashion Marketing. My work explores the intersection of cultural identity, textile innovation, and visual storytelling. I am passionate about transforming cultural narratives into wearable stories through innovative textiles, craftsmanship, and thoughtful design. Drawing inspiration from my Bangladeshi heritage, I create concept-driven collections that reinterpret tradition through a contemporary lens, resulting in work that feels both personal and forward-thinking. Textile development is at the heart of my creative practice. I enjoy experimenting with both traditional and emerging techniques, pushing materials beyond their conventional use to create unique textures, surfaces, and forms. Through research, material exploration, and creative direction, I strive to build immersive fashion narratives that connect with audiences on an emotional level. My portfolio showcases a selection of projects that reflect my dedication to storytelling, craftsmanship, and innovation, each representing a world shaped by culture, memory, and design. Transforming cultural narratives into wearable stories through innovative textiles, craftsmanship, and thoughtful design.
