This piece was inspired by the iconic Egg Chair designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1958. With its warm, organic curves and the sense of comfort and enclosure it provides, I reinterpreted these qualities into a fashion product—specifically, a bag and footwear. The core concept is "wearable furniture"—a product that serves as a furniture piece when not in use, and transforms into a functional bag or pair of shoes when worn or carried. What makes OVOLO truly special is its focus on quality over quantity. From carefully selected materials like genuine cowhide leather and Venus thread to the meticulous pattern cutting and craftsmanship, every detail reflects intentional design. Adding a personal touch, each piece is embossed with the project name and its production date—28 March 2025—marking a moment in time that will gain even more meaning as the piece ages, telling its own story through years of use.

The Chieftain Tote Bag

Category: Accessories

Competitions: Thailand

The Chieftain Tote Bag is inspired by the iconic Chieftain Chair, designed by Finn Juhl in 1949. As one of the most celebrated pieces of Scandinavian design, the chair is recognized for its organic curves, sculptural form, and harmonious balance between elegance and functionality. Drawing from these characteristics, the bag translates the chair’s distinctive organic silhouette into a contemporary fashion accessory. The flowing leather panels and curved structure create a refined visual language that embodies the concept of Elegance in Simplicity, resulting in a timeless design that is both sophisticated and functional. The bag is crafted from premium Oil Wax Leather, a material chosen for its durability, ease of maintenance, and ability to age beautifully over time. Similar to high-quality furniture, the leather develops a unique character through everyday use while retaining its structural integrity. Minor scratches and creases can be restored with leather wax, allowing the surface to regain its richness and natural sheen. By combining the principles of Scandinavian furniture design with contemporary craftsmanship, the Chieftain Tote Bag celebrates timeless aesthetics, material longevity, and the enduring value of thoughtful design.
