Data Roaming

In a world defined by constant change, openness, and endless transformation, I call my project Data Roaming. The ability to fold a flat surface into a three-dimensional form symbolizes the infinite possibilities that surround us and the continuous movement between states, ideas, and functions. I was drawn to exploring leather as a material because of its unique ability to wrap, shape, and adapt while maintaining both strength and flexibility. Through this process, I designed a leather jacket composed of detachable components that can be assembled, disassembled, and reconfigured. Rather than existing as a fixed garment, the jacket becomes a dynamic structure that responds to changing needs and contexts. It reflects the idea that identity, function, and form are never static but are continuously reshaped, embodying the fluid and ever-evolving nature of the world we live in. Each detachable component is engraved with its name and a corresponding number, creating a playful system of assembly and reassembly. The markings invite the wearer to interact with the jacket as a modular object, reflecting the hyper-modern world we live in, where customization, adaptability, and endless transformation have become part of everyday life.
