This dress proposes an interpretation of femininity and glamour through sober tones, resulting in a romantic and noble aesthetic. The ruffled skirt references the magical and delicate visual language of Barbie: A Fashion Fairytale, bringing a sense of lightness and a touch of innocence. The structure of the bust, waist, and hips is inspired by the well-constructed silhouettes of Schiaparelli, highlighting an elegant and self-aware sensuality, further emphasized by the striking draping of the neckline. Finally, the sheer black partlet, inspired by European royal garments from the 16th and 17th centuries, introduces a historical and majestic dimension, reinterpreted through the use of a leather band in place of the traditional ruff. Essentially, the piece consists of a dark red leather corset with a lace-up closure through eyelets. The intention was to create a kind of dream dress, capable of bringing together different—yet closely related—interpretations of femininity within a single garment. I also acknowledge that the development of this project requires a high level of precision and care in pattern making, particularly in the construction of the neckline, the corset, and the ruffled elements. Esse vestido propõe uma leitura de feminilidade e glamour por meio de cores sóbrias, resultando em uma estética romântica e nobre. Os babados da saia fazem referência ao visual mágico e delicado do filme Barbie Moda e Magia, trazendo leveza e um toque de inocência. A estrutura do busto, cintura e quadris se inspira nos vestidos bem construídos da Schiaparelli, destacando uma sensualidade elegante e consciente de si mesma, reforçada pelo drapeado marcante do decote. Por fim, o partlet preto translúcido, inspirado na indumentária da realeza europeia dos séculos XVI e XVII, adiciona um caráter histórico e majestoso, reinterpretado com uma faixa de couro no lugar do rufo tradicional. Essencialmente, trata-se de um corset de couro vermelho escuro com fechamento de amarração em ilhoses. O objetivo foi, de fato, criar uma espécie de vestido dos sonhos, capaz de reunir diferentes — porém próximas — interpretações de feminilidade em uma única vestimenta.
