The collapse of identity, under continuous industrial production

Category: Design*

This project explores the relationship between the human body and the systems that control it, through a narrative inspired by the underworld of the musical Hadestown. In this context, the underworld is understood as a space where time and life no longer belong to the individual, reflecting a logic of continuous production. The proposal connects to the transformations initiated by the Industrial Revolution and their impact on contemporary society, marked by constant acceleration and the pressure of productivity. The piece represents a body in the process of losing its identity, where elements such as silencing, fragmentation, and mechanization reveal the gradual replacement of the human by function. It is a reflection on a state of existence in which living and functioning become indistinguishable.
