This project explores the concepts of modularity and sustainability within the context of the growing light outdoor lifestyle. Addressing the limitations of traditional outdoor apparel, such as fixed functionality, limited adaptability, and difficulty in repair, the design proposes a modular garment system based on laser-cut leather fabrication. Inspired by traditional Chinese mortise-and-tenon construction, standardized geometric modules are combined with integrated interlocking connections, allowing garments to be assembled, disassembled, and reconfigured according to different scenarios, including commuting, hiking, and camping. Full-grain leather, mycelium leather, and functional textiles are selected to balance durability, comfort, and environmental responsibility. Through the combination of renewable materials and modular construction, the design extends product lifespan and reduces material waste. The collection adopts a futuristic functional aesthetic, using geometric structures to create sculptural silhouettes while expressing a distinctive visual identity. The project aims to explore a balance between functionality, personalization, and sustainable development in contemporary outdoor apparel design.
