HOLD

HOLD is inspired by the quiet but powerful language of human touch. I have always been deeply moved by the way people connect through physical contact, the simple act of holding hands, touching skin, leaning into someone’s body, or resting close to another person. These gestures may seem small, but they carry an intense emotional weight. They can express comfort, care, longing, protection, vulnerability, and intimacy all at once. In this project, I wanted to capture that fragile yet universal bond between human beings and translate it into a tangible object. The inspiration came from the body itself, especially the skin and the way it transforms through movement. When two people touch, skin is never static; it gathers, folds, stretches, presses, and reacts. These wrinkles and creases are not imperfections, but evidence of life, presence, and connection. I see them as a visual memory of human contact. The folds of the skin become a metaphor for emotional closeness, for the traces left behind when bodies meet. In the same way, this bag is designed to embody the physical and emotional texture of connection between people.
