The Gravity of Grace
Category: Accessories
This project reinterprets the traditional Eastern symbolism of the pomegranate—historically a totem of "abundant offspring and fortuity"—through a contemporary, critical lens. In modern society, the essence of "abundance" has undergone a profound shift; it is no longer a passive blessing but an active, compounding weight of responsibility. By translating the pomegranate’s anatomy into the language of cellular mitosis, the work visualizes the act of nurturing as a form of biological proliferation. Through a wearable sculptural bag composed of modular, organic forms, The Gravity of Grace explores the visceral tension between the beauty of life and the physical toll of caregiving, questioning when the "fullness" of existence becomes a burden to be carried.
