佤浪 WA WAVE“纹生万物·野性生长”——Wawave "Totems give birth to all things · Wild Growth.”

在关于云南西盟的田野调研中,我了解到了佤族手工艺传承人。他们口中说的“纹”,不仅仅是图案,更是一种“记录自然与生命的语言”。佤族传统图腾常常承载着人与自然、人与神灵之间的精神连接,每一道波纹、十字、草形纹样都象征着热能、光明与生命的循环。那种源于土地的原始美感,在我心中留下了极深的印象。 与此同时,我观察到当代都市年轻人(25-35岁)对自我表达的渴望愈发强烈。他们热爱运动,注重穿着的功能性与舒适性,但也追求独特的视觉识别。他们在潮流与文化之间游走,期望找到一种既有态度、又有故事的表达方式。 我试图将这两种力量——佤族的“野性图腾文化”与Y3K未来科技感潮流语言——融合进同一个产品中。产品造型借鉴了拳击靴的结构与力量感,表达身体的张力与自律感;鞋底采用复古薄底设计,便于街头灵活行走;鞋面材质则选用环保亮面植鞣牛皮,强调未来主义的视觉冲击。 在佤族图腾中,我提炼出“波”、“光”、“能量”三组符号,转译为结构线、绑带路径与图案肌理,并给这个作品命名为“佤浪 WA WAVE”,意为图腾纹样如波浪般涌动,推动生命、文化与设计的持续生长。希望它不是复制民族符号的表层图案,而是重新理解与解构——让传统成为推动未来表达的力量。 During the field research on Ximeng, Yunnan Province, I learned about the inheritors of Wa ethnic handicrafts. The "patterns" they talk about are not merely designs; they are a kind of "language that records nature and life". The traditional totems of the Wa ethnic group often carry the spiritual connection between humans and nature, as well as between humans and deities. Each ripple, cross, and grass-shaped pattern symbolizes the cycle of heat energy, light, and life. That primitive beauty derived from the land has left a very deep impression on my heart. Meanwhile, I have observed that contemporary urban young people (aged 25-35) have an increasingly strong desire for self-expression. They love sports, pay attention to the functionality and comfort of their clothing, but also pursue a unique visual identity. They wander between trends and culture, hoping to find an expression that is both attitudinal and story-telling. I attempted to integrate these two forces - the "wild totem culture" of the Wa ethnic group and the futuristic technological and trendy language of Y3K - into the same product. The product design draws inspiration from the structure and sense of power of boxing boots, expressing the tension and self-discipline of the body. The sole adopts a retro thin sole design, which is convenient for flexible walking on the street. The upper material of the shoe is made of eco-friendly glossy vegetable-tanned cowhide, emphasizing a futuristic visual impact. In the totems of the WA ethnic group, I extracted three groups of symbols: "WAVE", "light" and "energy", translated them into structural lines, binding paths and pattern textures, and named this work "WA WAVE", meaning that the totem patterns are surging like waves, promoting the continuous growth of life, culture and design. It is hoped that it is not a superficial replication of national symbols, but a re-understanding and deconstruction - allowing tradition to become the driving force for future expression
