Super Typhoon Yagi passed, leaving behind the brutal scars of flash floods and landslides, but it was the images flickering through my phone screen that truly stifled my mind. Witnessing the thick, red sludge devour familiar mementos—from a sofa to an old photo album—I felt a strange sense of bewilderment and turmoil. Every boundary between home and ruins dissolved, replaced by a suffocating web of tangled wires and warped, filthy forms. The chaotic jumble of books, clothes, and shattered glass coiled into an overwhelming, haunting sensation, compelling me to find a way to connect with and respond to this pain through my research.
