Made to Last a Lifetime?

Through these silhouettes, my goal is to create garments that are fully adjustable within a specific size range to fit the owner over a lifetime as their body changes. Even durable materials and quality construction that can outlive us may not fit forever, contributing to waste and overconsumption. The material, like the silhouette, also needs to last a lifetime, and leather can last generations, making it the perfect material for this project. As our bodies inevitably fluctuate, our wardrobe may become inaccessible, limiting creativity and self-expression. How can we thrive through constricting designs that fail to account for natural physiological functions?
