My Outfit explores the nuances of human experience.As humans we often go through go through experiencing pain that often break us and fracture. These fractures accumulate into our personality. With the advent of social media we often try to fill these with a curated life that we present on the social media. However these aren’t reflection of our true self . The experiences we wish to discard often reveal more about us than our beautifully tailored lives . This collection is made using discarded leather sheets which have holes in them.Instead of hiding these holes I have decided to make them a central part of my design. Underneath each hole mesh fabric is sewn and mesh fabric is decorated using french knot embroidery. My outfit not only celebrates the person and the personality of the wearer but also tries to make the wearer engage and reflect upon the memories that were hidden and have quietly shaped their personality over time for better or for worse.
