The Twin-Cherry Heart
Category: Accessories
This work primarily uses sheepskin and pigskin as its main materials. Sheepskin is soft and delicate, symbolizing the gentle and nurtured aspect of emotions, and is applied to the central flower and cherry structures. Pigskin, on the other hand, offers strong support and durability, and is used for the collar and the wing structures on both sides, allowing the overall piece to maintain stability and strength within its softness. The combination of the two materials expresses the coexistence of tenderness and resilience in emotional states. Through three-dimensional tailoring and layering techniques, the work forms a sculptural composition in which the flower envelops the cherry, embodying the concept of emotions being carried and held. The wings on both sides are designed with an extended structure, combined with precise joining techniques and controlled variations in thickness. This creates a sense of lightness within stability, symbolizing emotions being gently lifted and supported. Beyond its function as a wearable piece, the work also carries emotional symbolism. The collar acts as a gentle protective structure, providing a sense of psychological stability. The cherry and wings metaphorically represent the weight and balance of emotions, allowing the wearer to feel supported and embraced in everyday life. A macaron-inspired color palette is used, featuring soft, low-saturation pastel tones to evoke a gentle and healing atmosphere. The combination of pink and blue reflects the sweet and slightly tart nature of cherries, linking color with emotional imagery and creating a tender yet balanced visual mood. In a world veiled in soft mist and pastel hues, emotions are not invisible—they take shape as delicate, fruit-like forms. With every moment of joy and sorrow, a pair of cherries quietly grows within the heart: one holding sweetness, the other carrying unspoken feelings. They always exist together, inseparable—just like the complexity of human emotion. This necklace is crafted by a guardian of emotions. At its center lies a flower, a vessel of the heart, gently enclosing the twin cherries. It symbolizes a protected emotional core—a space where feelings can exist safely without being exposed or diminished. On each side, small wing-like forms emerge as the most defining feature of the piece. These wings are not meant for flight, but for balance. When emotions become too heavy, they subtly “lift” the weight, allowing the wearer’s heart to remain light. The macaron-inspired color palette softens the emotional spectrum into something calm and harmonious—free from harsh contrast, shaped instead by understanding and acceptance. The use of leather introduces structure and resilience, expressing that softness is not fragility, but a quiet and enduring strength. This piece conveys a simple idea: True gentleness is not the absence of weight, but the ability to carry both sweetness and sorrow—and still feel light.
