Twin Blossoms

Design description: This series takes the intertwined fates of Daiyu and Baochai from Dream of the Red Chamber as its narrative core, exploring the coexistence and tension between idealism and reality through the storytelling approach in bag design. Each bag incorporates a kaleidoscope device: in the Daiyu bag, the kaleidoscope fragments external light into shifting, prismatic shadows—symbolizing the idealist’s obsession with reconstructing reality through an artistic lens. The Baochai bag features a heart-shaped clasp which, when opened, reveals a mirrored abyss, exposing the dissolution and emptiness of the self beneath the mask of reason. The design seeks to convey the ultimate revelation of Dream of the Red Chamber: “What joy is there in seeking perfection?”—to embrace life’s imperfections, and in the eternal collision of ideals and reality, allow every choice to become a brushstroke in the epic of one’s unique existence. The “Twin Blossoms” series offers no answers—only reflections. May everyone who carries it glimpse their own vivid, authentic life form in the mirrored illusions of flowers and moonlight.
