Flowing rhythm
Category: Accessories
Inspiration: The design draws inspiration from the movement of a fish in water, observing how its body naturally responds to fluid resistance and current. It captures the rhythmic cycle of contraction and expansion as the fish propels itself forward, creating a continuous interplay between tension and release. This dynamic sense of motion is reinterpreted into a structured form, transforming an intangible, fluid movement into a tangible and sculptural object. Rather than directly imitating the appearance of water or fish, the design focuses on translating motion into spatial language, where movement becomes structure and rhythm becomes form. Design concept: When a fish swims through water, its body continuously contracts and extends in response to the surrounding flow, generating a sense of organic cadence and elastic tension. This perception of flowing rhythm is translated into the bag’s surrounding three-dimensional pleated structure. The pleats extend and fold outward in layered progression, echoing both the texture and skeletal framework of a fish, while also suggesting a controlled yet fluid expansion of form. As the structure unfolds, it creates a sense of internal energy being released outward, forming an organic silhouette that appears to be in a constant state of breathing and motion. The final design embodies a balance between structure and fluidity, capturing the essence of living movement within a constructed form.
