My theme is “Fu,” which can represent both Fucheng (Tainan) and home. I also grew up in Tainan, so I have a strong connection to the city. The streets and alleys of Tainan are filled with unique signboards, many of which carry a strong Taiwanese style. Therefore, I designed my bag in the shape of a traditional Taiwanese signboard to reflect the atmosphere and memories of Tainan. The large character “旺” on the signboard is the representative word of Taiwan for 2026. The two lines of text above and below it, “Peace and Health” and “Financial Freedom,” express my personal wishes. The handle design on the top is inspired by the poles used to support illuminated advertising lightboxes, making the bag look more realistic and true to the structure of an actual signboard. In addition, I made the bag usable as both a backpack and a handheld bag to improve its practicality. The zipper opening is also designed to be larger, making it easier to take items in and out.
