“Melodic Memories” is a bag design inspired by childhood memories of participating in the school band. The concept comes from my experience in elementary school, where I played the melodica. During that time, each of us had our own instrument, and since leaving school, mine has long been out of my life. The overall shape of the bag takes direct inspiration from the form of the melodica, with the keys represented by slightly yellowed white tones to reflect the faded colors in memory. The side structure is based on the expandable bellows of an accordion, while the shoulder straps mimic the rounded shape of the melodica’s mouthpiece. This work conveys an emotional connection between memory and the passage of time, transforming childhood recollections into a piece of wearable art.
