THE PLANT ERA
Category: Apparel
When time becomes the soil, clothing becomes the relics of civilization. In the post-apocalyptic world constructed by steel and data, nature regains sovereignty in its most primitive form. This series regards "antique leather" as the forgotten remnants of a civilization, while moss, lichens and tree textures become the new language covering them - the designer uses clothing as a medium to explore the eternal cycle of destruction and rebirth, decline and prosperity. "The Plant Era" is a declaration of reverse evolution theory: the weakest life will eventually conquer the hardest civilization. The damaged leather and vigorous plant textures in the clothing form tension, reminding us - true eternity does not belong to metal and code, but to the stubborn growth of greenery in the cracks. We wear the relics, and we also wear the new life. "If clothing is the human's second skin, when the natural world consumes the first skin, what should we wear?" This clothing design is a universal questioning of the "domination of humanity over the Earth" in the post-pandemic era. The designer uses design to construct an "anti-utopian allegory": Leather (a symbol of the plundering of human civilization) is colonized by moss (the lowest yet most tenacious life form), resulting in the inversion of power relations. This is used to present the ultimate proposition: "Can clothing become a declaration of species equality?"
