My goal is to design unique and sustainable clothing that showcases the Italo-Berber cultures and French craftsmanship. I have a particular interest in leatherwork and have built up a stock of leather from deadstock to create a unique collection and accessories that will be launching soon. I'm glad to present to you the first outfit of the collection : "Dolce Stripes" Inspired by the stripes of traditional Berber clothing and Italian tailors, I have created a working girl silhouette consisting of a leather jacket and a pencil skirt. For this look, I used pink leather and created stripes by laser-cutting strips that I apply with a topstitch. The stripes intentionally differ on the front and back of the outfit. For the sides, I created another fabric with small laser-cut slits and inserted thin strips into the slits to create the illusion of weaving. For trims, zip and belt, I design unique details inspired by traditional native north african culture in a workshop in Algeria. It is a modern outfit that draws inspiration from the traditional North African codes and the tailored garments of Italian fashion.
