Myin‑Tan, Carry the Color‑Shift

Category: Accessories

Centered on the theme “Natural × Modern,” this project develops a leather design proposal that merges organic vocabulary with contemporary structure—Myin-Tan Belt. Inspired by the gradient hues and clustered growth patterns of lantana flowers, the design translates colors ranging from yellow and orange to pink and red into a modular leather construction, creating a rhythmic flow that echoes natural growth. The overall aesthetic emphasizes low-saturation, nature-inspired tones and matte finishes, combined with refined leather grains, hand-crafted stitching, and soft matte metal hardware, revealing a balanced layering of materials and textures. Shaped in response to the human body, the design follows natural curves through clean tailoring and an adjustable vine-inspired tail element, allowing the belt to drape and extend organically when worn—an embodiment of the concepts of “flow” and “balance.” At the same time, the hexagonal geometric metal buckle references modern architectural language, contrasting and harmonizing with the organic floral charm to enhance visual tension and cohesion. The accompanying moodboard integrates material close-ups, natural objects, and fashion silhouettes through collage-based composition, establishing a cohesive and refined visual language that articulates a harmonious coexistence between nature and modernity.
